Hi Rob, eM Client uses oAuth for Google accounts login, which does not need to have access for less secure apps allowed, because through oAuth the program never gets access to your password. If you follow the steps described on our website you should not encounter any trouble with the setup - Also, anything that is not webmail is less secure in server\'s perspective, but we support Google\'s most secure login method for external programs, since security is very important to us.
